Providing individual and couples therapy
Are you looking for help? I provide individual and couples therapy to help adults and teens restore balance and reclaim identity and purpose. I treat people who are struggling with self-esteem, boundaries, isolation, routines, anxiety, goal-setting, decision making, and much more. The world is ever-changing, and I understand there are many of us who struggle with such issues as these. I believe we are all fellow travelers in life, and I find joy in helping others overcome their burdens.
Emotionally focused therapy
I have completed the externship and core skills trainings in emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and use this approach to help individuals and couples to work on issues related to relationships and connections with others. The goals of this work include to increase emotional intimacy, to work through relationship challenges, and to restructure relationships to help you find love and belonging in your relationships.
Education and experience
I received my Master’s Degree in Secondary Education in 1999 from Southern Utah University. From there, I was a school teacher for many years. During this time, I realized there are many students who struggle due to emotional trauma they have endured. This makes it hard for them to learn, as well as maintain relationships with others in school and at home. This led me to get my second Master’s Degree in 2021, in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since then, I have been helping clients heal and grow while they are on their own personal therapy journey.
