Group Therapy

Experience deeper change through connection with others

Ready for Deeper Change?

You've benefited from individual or couple therapy, but you're hungry for more—the kind of transformation that happens when you connect authentically with others who understand your journey.

Group therapy offers something individual therapy can't: the chance to practice new ways of relating in real-time, learn from others facing similar struggles, and discover that you're not alone in your challenges.

What Makes Group Therapy Different

In a long-term therapy group with a trained leader, you'll work alongside a small group of people committed to growth and healing. Together, you'll explore patterns in relationships, practice difficult conversations, and develop the confidence to show up authentically in your life.

Group therapy is particularly effective for treating anxiety, depression, and trauma while building self-regulation, confidence, and a stronger sense of identity. It also improves professional relationships and your ability to connect meaningfully with others.

Modern Group Analysis

Paul leads groups using modern group analysis, a sophisticated approach developed by Hyman Spotnitz and Louis Ormont. This method focuses on understanding and working through emotional patterns, resistance, and relationship dynamics in a safe, supportive environment.

Paul has completed extensive training at the Center for Group Studies in New York and holds the Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) credential, demonstrating his advanced expertise in group therapy.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

I know calling a group therapist can feel like a big step, but I'll make it easy. We'll spend 15-30 minutes on the phone or in person discussing your goals and questions, and I'll let you know how I can help. If I'm not the right fit, I'll do my best to connect you with someone who is.

What Happens Next

  1. Free Consultation: We'll talk about your goals, answer your questions, and determine if group therapy is a good fit for you.
  2. Individual Sessions: Before joining a group, we'll meet individually a few times to get to know each other and prepare you for the group experience.
  3. Join the Group: When a spot becomes available in an appropriate group, you'll begin attending weekly sessions.
  4. Ongoing Growth: Group therapy is a long-term commitment, typically lasting one to several years, allowing for deep and lasting change.
